Hi Guys
Hey I installed the An2 follow directiuons in first post re gauges.
But now my Sim is really unstable.
Crashes out all the time. I removed the An2 no worries sim as it should be.
Reinstall An2 and bingo! crashes again.
Any one have any ideas why this A/C is doing this?
Cheers Z

I suppose we ought to start with the most obvious - FS2004 or FS2002?

No problems with the AN-2 here. I have not heard of that problem before so I don't have a clue as to what may be happening.

Well .. did you try re-downloading the AN-2? Sometimes in a great while a download will get dorked.
Also, try using a different airplanes panel by doing an alias to see if its the gauges or the model.

Ok Russ
I downloaded another panel and that works fine.
So it’s the panel.
I have followed all the directions regarding both .cab files and all the gauges show, but boy fs is so unstable using the original panel.
I tried to remake the panel with just dc-3 gauges but to be honest I am not good enough for such a venture.
So yup.
I would use the other panel but it’s very hard to read.
Ideas?
Pugsley I'll do the AP when we have this thing working, thanks for the offer thou.
Thanks for ya help guys.
Cheers Z

Got any ideas Frank? Was there something peculiar about installing the panel for this airplane?

Not wanting to steal Franks thunder, but...
In order to see the panel properly, you need to go to your default Douglas DC-3/panel directory and then copy it to your main gauges folder. Then you have to rename the DC-3.cab file to DC3Gauges.cab
You also need to do the same move with the Lockheed Vega panel *.cab file (without renaming it). That should do it (it worked for me at least).

Yea I did all of that with the gauges. Its weird the AC will load but.
If you move to another airport or outside view the sim crashes.
But not with the other panel I found.
Its really weird.
I like russian planes I have the AN24 the one with the russian panel .
it is weird.

G'day Greg
I have just flown the herc from Merrill to Australia and no probs at all.
Werid .. I think FS has a mind of its own.
You can have 2 computers the same down to the last detail and one will run a program better than the other.
Mr Gates please explain!

It may have something to do with whether or not you use multiple monitors for your flight setup (I haven't experienced any one of these problems, but then again I have only the one monitor).

The only peculiar thing about the panel install is the two cab files. The only effect from not installing the cab files should only be the gauges not showing but Zarik has installed these files so they shouldn't be an issue. I am at a complete loss as to what may be happening here. I reviewed some of the forums over at Sim-Outhouse (where Tim Conrad hands out) and I thus far have not been able to find anything about this issue. Will keep looking, may stumble across something useful.
