(Flying in support of Ramy Brooks (#15) As Ramy was well supplied and burning up the trail, I saw no real reason to hurry along - after all, he was likely to blow by Shaktoolik and make directly for Koyuk. So after running a few errands for the race officials, I prepped the Beaver at about 1330 and took off at 1345 AST. I overflew the Shaktoolik checkpoint and then kept going. I kept my fingers crossed that he wouldn't drop a dog on the way, or I'd have to head back and pick him up. Just in case, I radioed the officials and made a quick status check - Ramy had already checked out of Shaktoolik. No dogs dropped. Whew! What a race this was turning out to be! I landed at the Koyuk Checkpoint at approximately 1420 and shut her down. Another day in the life of an Iditarod Air Force Pilot. Submitted respectfully from the Iditarod Trail,
