With the race over for me, it was time head back to Anchorage. Don's plane is in the shop after the race so he asked for a ride back to Anchorage. Don did the flight planning, preflight and fueled the aircraft so all I had to do was hop in and fly us back. We departed at 0730 and arrived at PANC 3 hrs and 31 minutes later. I dropped Don at the AW office and then made the 11 minute flight over to Birchwood which is where I keep my C185 hangered.

Good job Frank...........sounds like you had fun. following the racers........wish I could of participated....... but been on the road since 15 Feb and looks like might be another week till I get home.....( Now in Virginia on way up from Sarasota Fl )
Maybe next year I will be able to at least do part of it.....

I hope you throughly washed the plane .. I mean .. Dog after dog after dog ... its gotta be a real stinker .. dog hair blowing all over, its almost shedding time too ..

Yeah...it got a good cleaning after I got back but man was that a long smelly trip back from Nome.
