The sceneries at Z41 and the Eagle River Checkpoint are part of an Iditarod package that Alaskan Winds put together in 2004 and 2005. The downtown Achorage scenery was done by Tradewinds Caribbean Airlines Alaska Division. Most of the scenery that you will see in the PIREPS to follow are from the Alaskan Winds package but there may be a few more from TCA. Alaskan Winds simulates operations by the real Iditarod Air Force each year during the time of the real Iditarod race. This event is always a lot of fun to participate in as each pilot picks a musher and follows his/her progress by flying to the checkpoints that the musher has made it to. Last year they opened the event up to AAS and TWF pilots as well.
