Well, I was recovering from an all-night binge. I woke up to the news that Lance had dropped two dogs in Unalakleet. Dang, that's a long ways from here... how long was I out anyway? Cranking up for the trip... Off from Nulato... The weather is ok so far... Over the Nulato Hills... Closer to PAUN, it started fogging up quite a bit. Thanks Bill for giving Mother Nature the hint With a lot of squinting and good luck, I located PAUN... On the ground, loading two dogs and a lunker of a vet... Off, through the fog, to Nome... On the way, snow started... Things cleared up a little as we neared Saftety... Approaching Nome, there was this big black cloud hanging over the city... On the ground at Nome, unloading puppies and the vet. Without him on board, I should make pretty good time back to Koyuk... Heading to Koyuk, north of White Mountain... Over the Darby Mountains... Approaching Koyuk... Finally at Koyuk (whew)... what a long trip!
