I've stayed away from anything other than the default mesh and scenery files for FS2004, as I had this nasty tendency to crash back to the desktop. I like VFR flying as much as the next guy, so I'm tempted to try some add-on scenery again (now that I've a little more experience). What I'd like to know for anyone that does virtual flying in Alaska is: - What Freeware Alaska mesh/scenery add ons do you use (if any)?
- On a scale of 1-5, how do you like it/them?
- Where can they be found (website/filename)?

I don't use any addon mesh because most of the add on scenery available for Alaska was created using the default mesh. I have pretty much every FS2004 freeware addon scenery available for Alaska that was not designed for addon mesh. Just do a search at Avsim under FS2004 Scenery for Alaska. I can also search for Alaska at Flightsim but I think that AVSIM has practically all of them.

If your looking to try some out, I would recommend trying some in a non-Alaska area. Maybe something like:
Holger Sandmann's 'US North Cascades Mountains and Northwest Washington Coast' [us_wa_nc.zip: 13026kb] available at AVSIM.
