Hey you guys can get the scoop on some mushers and how they're doing in other-than-Iditarod races at www.adn.com too, just go to outdoors and look for some races. It may add to the immersion, but I don't know, I just like it! Oh and one of our headlines today is that the restart may actually be in Wasilla this year, they might have enough snow. It hasn't been there since 2002.

So we can fly whatever aircraft we choose then, correct? So I can fly my beaver?

It should be a company aircraft. I usually fly my personal C185 but that is because it has both the AW and AA logos on it. I like my aircraft to represent both companys since I am CEO here and a Staff Member at AW.
Joao, could you please give us a clarification on the aircraft?

Hi guys! About aircraft: That is up to the CEO of each participant VA. My guys, as per our Operations Manual, need to fly aircraft from our fleet. So they'll be doing it on the Iditarod. You may see some unpainted aircraft showing up but that's because of our Hub Program - aircraft that were chosen by the Hub Captains but that have yet to receive our colors. I think the natural would be for the AAS guys to fly the AAS aircraft The reason of having various VAs participating is that we may show off our colors to one anothers ;D But, again, as you registered as AAS, it is up to your CEO to decide

Yes sir, feel free to fly any of the company Beavers or any other appropriate company aircraft.
I will probably be switching from my personal AW/AAS marked C185 to our AAS company C185.

Hey guys.
I might have to drop out of this.
I have only found 3 checkpoints in 1 week of looking, and I do not have the time to fly in circles trying to guess where the next one is.
Cheers WM

Sorry to hear that WM. I was hoping to read your PIREPs, which I'm sure would be loaded with Aussie-style humor.

Cheers WM Hei Wild Man, Don't drop the race, at least because of that! Here's.... 2006 FlightplansThis is the 2006 flightplans we used. Won't give you the odd years checkpoints but will give you most of them. Those flightplans are signaling the location of a) the real checkpoint b) the location of the Alaskan Winds checkpoint c) the location of the TCA checkpoint No problem if you decide to choose any of them I'm hoping to find some time during this weekend to coninue with the flightplans for the 2007. Blue Skies! Joao
