Hey WM,
One of the files in the package that I send you should be in .PLN format. That is the default FS flight planner format. You should be able to use that one.

Question
I know that during the race we have 2 aircraft we can use. But does this apply to this pre race time when we are delivering pre race loads?
I ask becouse during the race I would like to be using the AS350 not the Uh-1H or Lear
Cheers Wild Man

Where do we find the information on musher progress, dropped dogs, etc.?
It's probably on the official Iditarod site, but I haven't been able to find it.

Hi Tom, Go to the official Iditarod web site, click on the heading 2007 Iditarod and in the righthand column click on current race progress.

I checked my musher's stats today, and it shows him at Skventna with 13 "Dogs In".
When I checked the stats last night, he showed 16 "Dogs In" and no matter how many times I looked, his stats didn't change.
The question is, where could he have dropped the 3 dogs? I'm guessing that I have to transport the dogs back to PAMR, but don't know where they might be stashed.

G'day Tom Good question. I would just work from CHK point that the numbers changed at. I dont think they can leave dogs in the bush! ;D Just my thoughts Cheers WM

In the past many dogs have been put up at the Millenium Hotel on Lake Hood, the Iditarod HQ. Don't know why that would change.

Well, something screwing is going on with dog numbers. Last night it showed Mitch checked into Yentna with 16 and checked out with 14 then this morning it showed he checked into Skwentna with 16 and has had 16 ever since. Moral of the story, sometimes they make errors on the updates so you have to stay on top of it to catch them. Glad I didn't decide to fly the two dogs that weren't really dropped back to Anchorage.

Yeah... I hear ya!
Last night, the stats showed Jeremy Keller with 16 dogs, but today, on all but the last checkpoint, he had 12. Now, he's at 13!
BTW... Joao told me to first go to the "Current Race Update" link, and then click on the "Checkpoint Summary" link at the top of the page. That has all the information for each checkpoint, which brought all this to light!

Hi Tom, The way I get my info of where dogs are dropped off is go to the current updates then click on your mushers name and a page comes up with all the info ie: checkpoint dogs in dogs out layover times etc. Hope it helps Cheers Bill

Thanks Bill... now all I've got to do is try to outguess the musher so I can position myself in the right spot and not have to backtrack ;D ;D ;D
